Value Time

They say time is money and money is time. What are your thoughts about that? Is it that if you have more time you will have more money?

I like to think,

"Time is God's gift to us, what we do with it is our gift back to him."

Every morning I get up I think, "What can I learn today?" So I turn on the television and look for a minister teaching preferably Joyce Meyers, Creflo Dollar, Paula White, Kevin Cosby, T. D. Jakes, or the engineer turned preacher, Joel Olsteen. (Wow that must mean he's a pretty smart guy).

Once I've got my head full of about an hour and a half of TV ministry, I'm ready to move into my day.

Next I think, "What do I need to work on for progress toward the plan today." Then I get to work on my computer. I think about the things I need to do to make my words to you as meaningful as possible. But before I actually get to work, I answer emails. I feel I spend too much time emptying junk mail. This is time that could be used to make progress.

In the grand scheme of things, there are 24 hours in a day, or so they say. We DO NOT have 24 hours with which to do anything. There are many things to consider that affects hour daily hours. Once we address these things, we can then begin planning to use our time to the best of our ability.

Remember, God gave everybody the same amount of time.

"What are we doing with our time?" is the question. Things to consider:

The process I call it the "24 hour theory"

1. Eating time accumulated during the day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

2. Travel time accumulated.

3. Time at work, (or school).

4. Time to get to work, (or school).

5. Time preparing for work, (or school).

6. Time to get home from work, (or school).

7. Time to relax from the day.

8. Snack time accumulated.

9. Phone time accumulated.

10. Time shared with loved ones, accumulated

11. Television time accumulated

12. Daydreaming time accumulated.

13. Time for God, (prayer and meditation).

14. Rest room time, (showering, teeth cleaning, disbursing, nose blowing).

Think you have more time than money? I have assembled the matching process for you to consider. Match the smallest measurement of clock time, to the smallest measurement of pocket money. One penny equals one second.

60 seconds X 60 pennies = .60¢

.60¢ X 60 minutes = $36.00

$36.00 X 24 hours = $864.00

$864.00 X 365 days in a year = $315,360

$315,360 is the minimum wage value of our time.

Value: are we really putting valued use to that time.

Can I really complain about not having enough time in a day when I spend an hour and a half watching television ministers speak about a scripture that took a total of 4 minutes to read?

I prayed asking God to give me 48 hours every day, so I can get many things done, and have time left over for the things I want to do the following days.

I looked around and noticed the message God painted with many lives.

"If I gave you 48 hours each day, people all over the world will complain to me, saying they have too much to do during their days. Listen to me my son. Use the time I have given you now wisely. By doing this you will show me that you have learned to value time. As you learn, to value time, I will minimize the pressures of getting the must things done by allowing you to enjoy your time with them. If you never learn to value time, you will live a life full of 'not enough,' 'complaining,' and 'poverty.' I gave the time to you. It is your choice to use it wisely."

Trembling and nervous after God allowed me to see this message, I became afraid of what God would think of me. The fear of allowing time to get away over took my soul. I feared giving God the impression that I do not value time.

Determined to rid myself of the fear, and win God's approval, I committed from that day forward, to plan and execute deeds that achieve progress. To show God I appreciate time He has given me, and for my own emotional comfort, I commit to "Value Time," using it to praise Him, plan progress, and implement the plan, and share "Love."

Birthday Greetings

WOW! Another year to celebrate! Another year to be thankful for!
Another year to hope for the highest and work to achieve it!

God is good and his mercy is ever lasting. 'King David'
Speak those things as though they were. 'Paul'
Faith without works is dead. 'James'
Those who live in love live in God and God lives in you. 1 John 4:16

Today is my celebration of birth day. This is the day that I look forward to each year. I look at my life in retrospect to measure progress I have made, and the benefit I have been to others.

One year I was blessed to watch a documentary of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Dr. King was sharing a plan, starting a new organization. The video crew had prepared a chocolate cup cake with one burning candle placed in the center. As the camera man filmed the walk, the picture was of the cup cake leading the way down the hall. The camera stopped at a closed door to the room in which Dr. King was working. A hand reached in front of the camera and knocked on the door.

Dr. King opened the door with a chalk stick in his hand. Diagrams were shown on the blackboard. The camera scanned the room of approximately five people. It was his birthday.

Looking at the cup cake, then up at the camera man, Dr. King smiled then said seriously, "I told you all not to do that. I don't need this. But thank you so much!" He took the cake, placed it on the table, and went back to work.

The videographer closed the door and explained, Dr. King had warned them he was convinced that partying simply wastes time that could be used for progress. He said as wonderful gifts, he would appreciate any work accomplished toward making progress with plans that have been established. His perscription to celebrate his birthday was planned and executed progress.

Today I ask you. Please consider these words. If you desire to join in my birthday celebration, please be effective in some area that has been planned, discussed, or established. Make progress.
In that way you will be a blessing.

Thank you so much for reading these blogs!

May God bless you to move forward.

Thought for TO-DAY

There are four blessed looks:

  1. Look back and thank God.
  2. Look forward and trust God.
  3. Look around and serve God.
  4. Look within and find God!

'I asked God, 'How do I get the best out of life?'

  • God said, 'Face your past without regrets.
  • Handle your present with confidence.
  • And prepare for the future without fear!

'Without God, our week is:

  • Sin-day
  • Mourn-day
  • Tears-day
  • Waste-day
  • Thirst-day
  • Fight-day
  • Shatter-day

So, allow Him to be with you every day!

'Life is short, so

  1. Forgive quickly.
  2. Believe slowly. Love truly.
  3. Laugh uncontrollably.
  4. And have a wonderful journey!'

GOD BLESS!!!!

Waiting

Have you done what you need to do to be prepared to wait? Or are you just waiting on some bread to fall from the sky?

What a way to start a compassionate blog! But I prayed, and I asked my creator to tell me what to say. When I opened my eyes, I looked at the box, put my hand to the keyboard, and wrote the word "Waiting." Was it because I was waiting on words, or was it because I know there are times we need to consider whether our waiting is justified. What ever the reason I simply acted in faith. I will explain later.

Waiting sometimes serves as an excuse to do nothing. You may have never considered this fact, but it is important to be prepared to wait.

Before ever placing yourself in the 'relax, do nothing, and wait for a miracle' position, (and miracles do happen, but), ask yourself, "Am I prepared for my miracle?" "Am I prepared for this need to be fulfilled?"

I know it may sound silly that thinking the following is setting yourself up for failure, "I am in need, and anytime it will be filled, let it happen." But it just may well be.

As we wait on the miracle maker to make a miracle, please remember what James
2:17
says, (the new international version), "So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead." So as you prepare to prepare yourself, please consider these things.

1. There are some things that 'must be done,' in order to be prepared for that thing you are waiting to happen. Is your heart ready? God does things with and through our lives that we have no control over, but we must be receptive to the change. If there is going to be progress, something has to change. I would go so far as to say the meaning of progress is "Change." Can you accept change?"

2. Miracles are not traditional. They do not conform to what people expect. Miracles are that thing that happens as a result, of that thing in between what is and what will lead to what is hoped for. Consider the man who washed his face in the pool after Jesus placed the spit ball in his eye. It was the welcoming of being spit on, that prepared for the miracle that would take away his blindness. Had he been told, "I'm going to spit on you." he may not have received it. But he was willing to go through what ever was necessary to get to his miracle. Are you ready to be out of the ordinary?

3. You have heard it said, "Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

4. Today, I say to you, "Faith is the walk toward those things you are hoping for, the act of living as though they are soon to be."

Don't just sit there!

Get ready for your miracle to happen!
